For some reason, it makes them seem even more worthless that they were laying around outside a big brick building instead of lazing around in the woods somewhere. Hm. What is wrong with this picture? Um, the dog on my shoulder? I was minding my own business, playing a friendly game of poker, and who should appear? My worthless mutt. We kept removing her from the poker table but she just has to be in the middle of the action. She jumped on my chair and climbed up the back of my blanket like a mountain goat. She sits on my shoulder a lot. Very weird.

We rescued Burt from our local Wayside Waifs. I PROMISE he was not so worthless at the shelter. He tried to impress us at every turn. He was on hest best behavior at all times. Very affectionate and attentive and showed us what a great dog he was. And then we got him home.
This was taken on his first day home! He wasted no time pulling the bait and switch. All he does is lay on things he shouldn't and flop over for belly rubs.
